​Also, something I think is really cool: sample code for teaching about evolution is here. It's a simple simulation of a population evolving on a fitness landscape. You can watch a version of speciation and play with the size of the valley, the relative heights of the peaks, and the mutation rates! Just know that the fitnesses all have to be above 1 for the simulation to run. Feel free to copy the code as you wish, and here is an in-class lab that could accompany the simulation.
